Wing Span: 42"
Wing area 385 sq. in.
Weight ready to fly 18 oz.
This aerobatic plane was is a scaled up version of the 32" Edge 540 and the KF airfoil was changed to a hotwire cut full symetrical airfoil. Due to the larger size the design was modified as necessary to handle the additional weight and flight loads. I am happy to say that I was able to keep all of the good flying characteristics of the smaller Edge 540 with out sacrificing anything. Now we have a plane that is an EPP counterpart to the 36" outdoor depron aerobatic planes and can use the same gear.
More details can be found on the 42" Edge 540 thread on .
Here is a set of for building a 42" 3D plane.
